Management Training

Management and LeadershipA refreshingly practical programme providing the opportunity to step back from the day-to-day pressures to think about management and receive some valuable coaching that will help you to improve personal, team and business performance; indeed, the programme should be self funding through the business improvement project undertaken.

It is delivered using the “little bit and often” principle rather than expecting people to leave their businesses for days on end and try and remember everything they have been told, let alone apply it successfully!

On this programme you will discuss challenges and share best practice with other key people in similar situations. It will help you to clarify direction, goals and responsibilities, become more organised and efficient and also understand more about the best ways to manage and motivate your team. There will also be plenty of opportunity to practice many of the techniques involved, thereby building greater confidence for use back in “real life” and increasing the likelihood of success.

This coaching is important because things are changing rapidly for managers; additional responsibilities, growing workloads, higher expectations plus increased pressure to perform.

Structure:

Open programmes which individuals and small groups can attend are organised on the basis of one morning per week (8.30am - 12.00pm) over a five week period plus pre and post course 1:1 coaching sessions on your site (i.e. 7 sessions in all). This means disruption to work is minimal as delegates can be back at work by lunchtime. The "little bit and often" approach also provides time to think about and actually apply the training (the most important bit) between sessions, gradually building confidence and skills and increasing retention by comparison to concentrated courses.

In-house programmes, can be tailored to suit whilst sticking to the same principle of a "little bit and often" e.g. sessions delivered if necessary once every two weeks or combined into 3 x 1 day sessions if people are travelling a long way to attend.
